DONCASTER, U.K. – Sixty four year old Graham Pyatt, from Doncaster has expressed his utmost surprise at finding out he was a winner of almost £1.5 million from the UK National Lottery.

Mr Pyatt, who plays the lottery each week through his online account won the huge prize from the Lotto draw made on August 14th. He said that he normally checks his numbers much sooner after the draw has been made, but this time it took him four days to discover the great news that awaited him!

The winner, a retired laboratory assistant told the Yorkshire Post, “I always choose one lucky dip but didn’t check my account until Thursday. When it said I was a winner I couldn’t believe it. I had to get my son to come round and confirm that it was true.”

He worked for 28 years in factories around the Doncaster area and now suffers from severe respiratory and mobility problems. Due to this fact, Mr. Pyatt said he and his wife have no plans to take any holidays but they would like to help out their only son, Steven, 30.

“I want to use the money to make sure that Steven and his family are looked after. That will make me very happy.” he said
