Winning Mega Millions ticket sold in California

SACRAMENTO, CA. – One lucky Mega Millions player from northern California is the sole holder of the winning ticket and jackpot prize of $133,000,000 after matching all the numbers drawn on Friday night. The jackpot winner is yet to come forward to claim their huge prize.
The winning numbers drawn on Friday night were 4, 10, 26, 32 , 41, and the Mega ball was 31.
Lottery officials have confirmed that the ticket was purchased in a liquor store in Morro Bay; the store will get a lottery bonus of $665,000 for selling such a valuable ticket.
Lottery spokesperson Alex Traverso said that the latest Mega Millions win is by far the biggest lottery win ever in San Obispo county and one of the largest ever in the whole state. He added that when the winner does come forward, he or she will be able to choose between a lump sum payment of $92.4 million or an annuity over 26 years. Both of these prizes will be subject to state and federal taxes.
Mega Millions winners have one year to claim their prizes, but it is very unusual to see winners of such large jackpots wait for more than a week, added Traverso.
