DURHAM, ENGLAND – A National Lottery prize of over £120,000 which had been outstanding since October last year has finally been claimed.

National Lottery operator Camelot confirmed that the £121,401 has been picked up by somebody from County Durham. The prize was won by the lucky player from a draw made on October 16th 2010.

A National Lottery spokeswoman said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win. It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”

The identity of the winning player will only be revealed if they agree to go public about their great prize.
