South Carolina man $250k richer
COLUMBIA, S.C – A man from the South Carolina town of Sumters is a quarter of a million dollars richer after winning an instant lottery prize from the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The man, who preferred not to be identified, who bought the $10 “Go for the Gold” instant ticket at Corner Stop Liquors in Sumter. Luck was on his side when the ticket turned out to be a $250,000 winner.
When asked about his win, the man said, “After I won, I called my brother to tell him the good news. I plan to share the money with my children and siblings, and invest some of it,” he said.
The $10 “Go for the Gold” scratch card was only released on 6th April and has four jackpot prizes of $250,000 remaining. It is possible to win up to twenty times on the same ticket.
The odds on winning any prize on this ticket are 2.97 to 1. The lowest prize amount is $10.
