UK EuroMillions winner claims prize

LONDON, UK – The winner of the biggest ever lottery jackpot in Great Britain has come forward to claim their £84.4 million EuroMillions jackpot after matching all the numbers in Friday’s draw.
The massive jackpot prize is almost £30 million more than the previous highest prize won in the UK, when Nigel Page and Justine Laycock won a £56 million EuroMillions jackpot in February of this year.
The five winning numbers in Friday’s draw were 1, 17, 31, 43 and 47, with the Lucky Star numbers 2 and 3.
A spokesperson for Camelot, the UK’s lottery operator, said the prize could be paid out on Monday when the banks open, provided the claim has been received and validated.
