Two winners of Lotto Max CA$50m jackpot

OTTOWA, ON. – Two ticket holders have finally won a share in a CA$50million Lotto Max jackpot after weeks of waiting for a winner. The two lucky lotto players, from Quebec and Ontario will receive CA$25million once they have had their claims verified.
Lottery officials from both provinces are now waiting for the winners to come forward to claim their prizes and are hopeful that they will be able to pay the winners by the end of the week.
A spokesperson for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) said “We’re waiting for the winning ticket to be validated. All we can tell you right now is it was sold somewhere in Ottawa.”
For prizes of such magnitude it is necessary for winning ticket holders to visit lottery headquarters to claim their prize. It was also recommended by lottery officials that the ticket holders have their claim verified in a store before visiting as an automatic process that means that any lottery computer shown the winning ticket will call directly to the lottery headquarters to ensure that claims are valid.
The winning numbers drawn for the jackpot amount were 19, 25, 27, 29, 30, 35 and 46. The bonus ball was 15.
