Georgia woman wins $300,000 scratch card prize
ATLANTA, GA – A woman from Gray has struck lucky in an instant ticket from the Georgia Lottery after winning the $300,000 jackpot in the “Taxes Paid” scratch card game.
Sheila Venerable, 56 purchased her ticket at a local gas station and according to a press release from the Georgia Lottery, she scratched the ticket straight away in her car.
The fact that she won the prize from a “Taxes Paid” ticket means that Ms. Venerable will have the full prize amount of $300k in her bank account as all state and federal taxes have already been paid.
Venerable is clearly not a woman of many words as when asked what she would be doing with the money either now or in the future she said simply, “family stuff” .
$300,000 Taxes paid costs $5 to play and five of the nine original jackpot prizes have been claimed.
