Pennsylvania Lottery prize of $50k set to expire
HARRISBURG, PA – Time is running out for a Pennsylvania Lottery winner to claim a $50,000 prize. The winning Quinto ticket from Dec. 10, 2009, was sold at Jean’s in Schuylkill County.
Lottery officials announced on Monday that the ticket and prize expire one year from the date of the drawing. That means that the ticket will expire in just under two weeks.
The ticket correctly matched all five numbers drawn in exact order: 6-6-4-3-1. The prize total is $50,000, which will be reduced by 25 per cent after federal taxes.
All expired prizes remain in the lottery fund and are used to support programs benefiting elderly people in Pennsylvania.
