Seven winners of $319m Mega Millions jackpot to be announced tomorrow
NEW YORK, NY – Seven state workers who won the Mega Millions jackpot worth $319 million will be unveiled tomorrow as they claim their incredible prize.
They group of seven work for the New York State Homes and Community Renewal information services division, a source told the Daily News.
According to another source the group have not been into work since Friday but neither have they issued their resignations.
“Late in the day, we got a call saying, ‘Can we come in?'” said Carolyn Hapeman, a spokeswoman for the New York Lottery. “As expected, they were busy meeting with the people they wanted to meet with before they came in here.”
The winners purchased a Quick Pick ticket with the numbers 22-24-31-52-54. The Mega Ball was 4.
The group will have to decide whether to take the $202.9 million lump sum or get the full prize paid in instalments over the next 25 years.
