B.C. steel worker wins $36m Lotto Max jackpot

VANCOUVER, B.C – A steel worker from British Columbia has won the provinces biggest Lotto Max jackpot of the year after he scooped Friday’s $35.74 million prize.

Davie Rennie, the winning player has already said that he plans on quitting his job after he picks up his cheque today.

Speaking to press, Mr Rennie said, “”It’ll change my life a lot. How could it not? Everything will be paid off, things will be great.”

The winners partner Sandra Morgan says she was shopping at Thrifty’s when he called her with the big news. She says she didn’t believe him at first “because he’s quite a joker.”

His son Kyle shared his dad’s excitement and is making his own plans, too. “I’m currently applying for summer jobs so I probably won’t have to do that anymore.” he said happily.

According to Lotto Max the odds of winning the $36 million jackpot were 29million to one.
