Luton man wins Lotto Plus 5 for £250k

LUTON – A mystery Lotto Plus 5 winner, known only as Mr B from Bedfordshire, has scooped a £250,000 top prize without ever touching a ticket. The winner has been partially identified as he purchased his winning ticket on the National Lottery website.

Camelot, organisers of the National Lottery, revealed today how the lucky person won the prize by matching all six numbers in the Lotto Plus 5 draw on May 30.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said, “Well done to Mr B, he has banked this amazing prize with just a few simple clicks – he didn’t even have to pick up a ticket. If you play interactively we not only check your numbers but also let you know you have won – it couldn’t be easier.”

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or, like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.
