$1million scratch card win in Florida
DELRAY BEACH, FL – A man from Delray Beach has claimed a $1million scratch card prize at Florida Lottery headquarters.
Dennis Detwiller, 61, won the prize on the $20 “Billion Dollar Blockbuster” instant game. He is in fact the 23rd winner to claim a million dollar prize on this game.
He told lottery officials that he had played the lottery for years but had never tried a $20 scratch off game prior to winning a million! Mr Detwiller chose the lump sum payment of $650,000 rather than being paid in instalments.
The $20 “Billion Dollar Blockbuster” game was launched on Feb. 24, 2009, and features more than $1 billion worth of prizes, including 10 instant-win prizes of $10 million. To date, the game has awarded more than $192 million in prizes.
The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.98. Tickets are avialable for purchase at any of the more than 13,000 Florida Lottery retail locations statewide.
