Orlando lottery players wins $1million
ORLANDO, Fl – 58 year old Joyce Stoermer of Orlando is the Florida Lottery’s latest scratch card millionaire. She bought a $30 “$600million High Roller” scratch card and was lucky enough to have bought a jackpot winner.
Ms. Stoermer has chosen to be paid in a lump sum rather than instalments. She will bank just under $700,000 for taking this option.
The $600 Million High Roller game launched on Jan. 21, 2008, and is the first $30 Scratch-Off game offered by the Florida Lottery. The game features more than $600 million in cash prizes, including top prizes of $1 million and over 2,000 prizes of $20,000.
The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.43. Players who win $1,000 or $20,000 instantly in the game will be entered in a grand prize drawing for $20 million after redeeming their winning ticket. The grand prize drawing will be held after the game ends later this year.
