UK winner of EuroMillions jackpot

LONDON, UK – Recent British luck in the EuroMillions has continued with a massive jackpot win of £39.7 million being claimed by a mystery person somewhere in the U.K.

Winners of lottery prizes in the United Kingdom can remain anonymous if they want to, so it is possible that the identity of the winner of the third highest prize to be won in the country will never be known.

The winning numbers in this draw were 8, 16, 18, 37 and 43. The Lucky Star numbers were 2 and 6.

This win comes just one month after Nigel Page and Justine Laycock, who live near Cirencester, won £56m in the EuroMillions draw.

If the claim by the mystery player is valid, the money he or she won could be in their bank account already.

Despite the scale of the win it is still some way off the largest EuroMillions win ever, a whopping £113million won by a single ticket holder from Spain in May last year.
