Delivery driver wins second big lottery prize
RICHMOND, Va. – A delivery driver has got lucky again after winning his second big lottery prize from the Virginia Lottery.
Three and a half years ago, Karl Hartman from Chesterfield won $150,000 from a Pick 4 lotto draw and now he has won a $5million jackpot prize from a scratch card by the Virginia Lottery.
Mr. Hartman is the first winner of a $5million scratch off ticket prize in Virginia and he has chosen to take his prize as a lump sum rather than in instalments over 25 years. His prize is therefore reduced to $3.2 million as a lump sum.
Four of the $5 million top prizes from the scratch card “$5 million Club Game” have yet to be claimed and remain winnable according to the Virginia Lottery.
Hartman gave no indication of his plans for the prize money.
