NZ$250k still unclaimed after 6 months
CHRISTCHURCH, N.Z – A Lotto prize of a quarter million dollars is still to be claimed in Christchurch. Whoever won the prize, luckily, still has another six months to find their ticket and claim the prize.
New Zealand Lotteries have said that the winning “Wish List” ticket was sold between November 1st and November 14th 2009. The draw was made on the 14th.
An employee at the store where the ticket was sold said that the ticket is a bonus draw ticket and doesn’t have the same appearance as a conventional New Zealand Lottery ticket. They added that they hoped it hadn’t been thrown away.
Lottery officials announced that the unclaimed winning ticket in Christchurch is one of five unclaimed tickets across the country. Twenty tickets worth NZ$250,000 were distributed at the start of the game.
