Louisiana Scratch Cards

The Louisiana Lottery Corporation has around 30 scratch cards for players to choose from. They are available at many outlets throughout the state.

Prices for these state lottery scratch card tickets are set at $1, $2, $3, $5 and $10.

Recently launched, the New Orleans Saints NFL scratch card ($5) offers fans the chance to win $100,000 and various “once in a lifetime fan experiences.”

Prize money varies between cards of different prices with the lowest prize being a free ticket and the highest, $200,000.

For the fiscal year ending June 2009, instant ticket scratch card sales totalled $140million out of a total operating revenue of $380million.

In Louisiana, scratch card sales are important, however, online games make up the largest proportion of the revenues gained.
