DES MOINES, IA – Three winning lottery tickets valued at a total of $27.6 million have been purchased in Iowa over the last six months, but none of the prizes has been claimed.

A convenience store in Webster City claims to have sold a Hot Lotto ticket that’s worth $9.1 million after Saturday’s drawing.

In December, a ticket purchased at a store in Des Moines won a Hot Lotto jackpot of $16.5 million, and last month a Powerball ticket was sold in Boone that garnered a $1 million prize.

Lottery CEO Terry Rich said none of the winners has contacted the lottery.

“It’s unusual for us to see this many big unclaimed prizes, let alone all at one time,” Rich said in a news release. “We’re spreading the word about all these prizes in the hopes that the lucky winners will double-check their tickets and come in so we can help celebrate their big news.”

The prizes must be claimed at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Des Moines within one year of the draw being made. Iowa Lottery officials recommend that big winners seek financial advice before claiming life changing amounts of money.

Saturday’s winning Hot Lotto numbers were 9-12-16-25-29. The Hot Ball was 9.
