Ontario Lotto Max jackpot hits CA$44 million

TORONTO, ON – This weekend’s Ontario Lotto Max draw jackpot reached a massive $44 million last weekend as, once again, the draw game from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation had one of the biggest lottery jackpots in the world.

August this year saw the jackpot reach $50 million but it was won by multiple winners and since Lotto Max was launched in September 2009, the jackpot has been won by a single ticket holder only once.

Since the Lotto Max game was launched, more than $365 million has been won by players from Ontario; including five jackpot wins.

“The people of Ontario have won a lot of big prizes with this new game, and we hope that this winning trend continues,” said OLG spokeswoman Wendy Montgom.
