Schuylkill woman wins $100k Pennsylvania Lottery prize

HARRISBURG, PA – Maryann Zimmerman, of Schuylkill Haven, won $100,000 from the Pennsylvania Lottery’s Jumbo Bucks instant game.

Lottery spokeswoman Lisa Breznik presented a ceremonial check to Zimmerman at the Turkey Hill on West Columbia Street in Schuylkill Haven, where the winning ticket was purchased.

“With two adult children, I have plans to put the money right in the bank to save for the future,” Zimmerman said, adding that she enjoys playing instant games and she always keeps an eye out for new ones. “A couple of years ago I won $1,000 from an instant ticket, and now, $100,000. Maybe I’ll keep winning every few years!”

Jumbo Bucks, $5 per ticket, offeres top prizes of $100,000 and more than $25 million in total cash prizes. Three jackpot prizes of $100k remain to be claimed.

The odds of winning a top prize in Jumbo Bucks are one-in-720,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are one-in-4.21.
