Georgia Lottery sales top $3.5bn for fourth year in a row

ATLANTA, GA – The Georgia Lottery has recently announced that sales figures for this financial year are over $3.5 billion for the fourth year in a row.

Georgia Lottery Corporation sales for fiscal year 2011 were precisely $3,597,921,870. President and CEO of the Lottery, Margaret DeFrancisco said that despite the poor economic situation in the state, Georgia Lottery only experienced about a one per cent fall in sales.

Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
