County Mayo family celebrate €11m Irish Lotto win

MAYO, IRELAND – A family from a remote part of Mayo have won one of the biggest Irish Lotto jackpots in recent memory of just over 11 million euro.

There were no lavish celebrations at the modest home of the McIntyre family, who live in the remote fishing village of Ballyglass, near Belmullet in Co Mayo.

Family members were last night planning to return home to celebrate the win with Martin and Evelyn McIntyre, parents in their 50s, who are understood to be small farmers.

The family admitted their good fortune after one winning ticket was sold for the jackpot of €11,033,593 for Saturday night’s draw.

The winning numbers matched by the McIntyre’s were 2, 7, 19, 23, 33 and 43. The bonus ball was number 28.
