Welcome scratch card win for father of two

NEW YORK – A father of two from Brooklyn has won $25,000 on the New York Lottery’s “Find the 8’s” instant game. He bought his jackpot winning ticket at Amy’s Smoke Shop in Brooklyn.

The winners name is Raul Grannum. He said he chose the “Find the 8’s” scratch card game because he was born on the 8th of May. “I saw the scratch off in the store and it occurred to me that my birthday was the 8th. I figured it had to be lucky. It sure turned out to be,” he said.  The lucky winner told lottery officials that he wants to take his two children on vacation with his winnings.

“Find the 8’s” is a $2 instant game with a top prize of $25,000. The overall odds, of winning any prize are 1:4.52.
