Arizona Lottery jackpot win for Tucson couple

TUCSON, AZ – A lucky couple from Tucson have won the massive $8.4 million lottery jackpot in the state’s “The Pick” lottery draw this weekend.

Gilbert and Diana Garcia bought the winning ticket at the Circle K store at 2840 W. Los Reales Rd., according to a news release from the Arizona Lottery Office.

The winning numbers were 5, 7, 13, 16, 39 and 43.

After one of the longest spells without a winner, the jackpot swelled to over eight times the the starting jackpot of $1million.

Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery said in the news release, “After four months without a jackpot winner, we are excited to finally usher in the newest winners of our state’s own jackpot game, ‘The Pick’,”

Wednesday’s jackpot will return to $1 million. Hopefully there won’t be such a long wait for the next big winner from the Arizona Lottery.
