S.C woman claims $1m Powerball prize

GAFFNEY, S.C – A lucky Powerball winner from Gaffney, South Carolina has claimed her million dollar prize after matching five numbers in last weeks Powerball draw.

The winner, who told South Carolina Education Lottery officials not to release details of her name collected her prize in Columbia on Monday. She was just one number away from winning the jackpot of over $260million. Someone in Ohio has won the jackpot but has yet to come forward to claim it.

The winner will get around $680,000 after state and federal taxes are taken from the prize amount.

There were two other $1million winners from the draw; one in Florida and someone in North Carolina.
