Ric Flair promotes Tennessee Lottery

NAHSVILLE, TENN. – One of the most famous professional wrestlers of the past twenty years, Ric Flair is being used by the Tennessee Lottery to promote Mega Millions.

Flair appears in radio and television commercials called “Jack up your Jackpots”. The “nature boy” uses his signature “Woooooo!” scream and slaps a skinny man to encourage him to turn tiny jackpots into huge ones by playing Mega Millions.

The ad has already attracted the attention that Tennessee Lottery officials have hoped for but they weren’t willing to divulge the cost of making the commercial to anyone in the media.

“He’s an absolute delight to work with and everybody knows him,” said Rebecca Hargrove, president and CEO of the Tennessee lottery. “He’s a good representation of good people. Everything we do is geared to sell more tickets, and this ad has garnered a lot of attention.”

Ric Flair is not unfamiliar to promoting lottery’s, having done some previous promotions, including a “Woooooo!” scratch card with a jackpot of $100,000 with the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game which costs $1 to play and requires players to pick 5 main numbers and a bonus number.
